Here are some important things to know for the week of January 30, 2023:

Marking Period 2 report cards were sent home with students on Monday January 23. Included in the report card envelope was a letter letting you know your child’s current attendance percentage for the year. There is often a direct correlation between attendance and achievement.

We will be having a dance at the end of the school year (during the school day) for students who have satisfactory attendance for the 2nd semester. Students who miss less than 4 days of school during Semester 2 will be given an invitation to attend the dance.

Please complete the parent survey in your email. We are seeking feedback from you on some specific areas of our work so that we can see where we’re doing well and where we can make improvements.

Congratulations to Mason’s 2023 Teacher of the Year, our music teacher, Ms. Jones! Ms. Jones is deserving of this recognition, and we are honored to have her at Mason. Ms. Jones will be recognized at an upcoming district banquet.

Instead of doing attendance winners for this week, we are rewarding all students who have had perfect attendance since returning from winter break on Jan. 5. The following students were announced this afternoon and called to the office to choose a reward from the prize closet!
