Friday five 4-27-18

Hello, this is Mrs. Kochis, the Dean of Students at Mason CLC.

Here is your “Friday Five” important things you need to know for the week of April 30, 2018

  1. The Mason Golden Rule for the building is to follow directions the first time without comment or complaint. Please discuss the meaning of this rule with your child and practice having them follow it at home when you give directives.

  1. The Mason Parent Involvement Committee needs your help for Field Day.   We are looking for volunteer parents to come and help with student activities.  Please watch for a sign up sheet to come home soon. Again this year, we will have the large inflatable obstacle course.  In order to play on the obstacle course, students will need to have a signed waiver. Please look for that to come home as well.

  1. Students have a lot of important tests the next couple of weeks. Students in grades Kindergarten through 2nd will be taking their Spring MAP tests for Reading and Math. Students in grades 3rd-5th will be taking the MAP tests, as well as the Ohio State Tests. This is an important time of year for students to show what they know and that they are ready to move to the next grade. Please make sure they get plenty of rest and come to school prepared.

  1. Mason will be having their next Spirit Day on Friday May 25, 2018. Show your cougar pride by dressing in your favorite outfit. Students may dress down.

  1. Mason will be hosting a showcase of talent on Thursday, May 31st at 4:30pm.   Mason students will be performing in our very first ever talent show. Please come and support our performers.  Admission is free. If you have a child performing in the talent show, please commit to having them at the school by 4:00.  A flyer will be sent home soon. If transportation back to school is an issue, we will try and make arrangements for your child.

Thank you, have a great weekend!
