Important things you need to know...

Hello Families of Mason CLC, this is Mrs. Kochis, Dean of Students.
The start to school has been exciting!
Every Friday you will receive a call letting you know of upcoming events or important things to know. The Friday phone call messages will be posted weekly on the Mason CLC page of the Akron Public Schools website. Announcements can also be found on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Here is your Friday Five important things to know for the week of September 2, 2019.

Attendance and arrival to school on time is very important. House Bill 410 attendance laws in the state of Ohio are very strict in regards to attendance. Please make sure your child is at school on time, every day, ready to learn.

Students should not arrive to school until 7:50am. Supervision is not available before 7:50am. Breakfast is served until 8:15am and students are considered tardy if they are not in their classrooms by 8:30am. School ends at 2:30pm.

The first day for Kindergarten students is Tuesday September 3, 2019.

The dress code for APS is pants, skirts or jumpers in tan, black or navy and any color collared shirt. Sweaters and sweatshirts must be a solid color with no writing.

There is no school on Monday, September 2, 2019 in observance of Labor Day.

Mason will be hosting a Grandparent’s Day on Friday September 6, 2019. Grandparents are welcome to join their grandchild at school for coffee and a donut from 7:50am-8:15am.
